Platform Engineering Consultant – UK&I Region

About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced Platform Engineering Consultant with a hands-on engineering background. This role blends client-facing engagements with internal practice growth, requiring the ability to articulate the business value of platform engineering, automation, observability, SRE, and advanced AI agents—while leading projects from both a technical and business perspective.
Core Responsibilities
- Client Leadership: Manage end-to-end client engagements, ensuring seamless delivery and identifying new opportunities.
- Technical Guidance: Provide hands-on project support, offering expert validation and guidance to teams.
- Stakeholder Management: Build strong client relationships, bridge technical-business gaps, and align priorities across diverse teams.
- Growth & Mentorship: Foster team development, mentor colleagues, and grow the practice to support organisational scalability.
- Presales Support: Engage in requirements gathering, proposal development, and SOW (Statement of Work) creation for new projects.
- Hiring & Process Improvement: Participate in hiring initiatives and recommend refinements to business processes for optimal efficiency.
- Thought Leadership: Share insights on industry trends through conferences, meetups, and internal collaborations.

Ideal Candidate Profile
Leadership & Collaboration
- Proven experience driving digital transformation projects across global, distributed teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional communication skills.
- Client-centric multi-tasker comfortable juggling multiple engagements while prioritising impact.
- Agile mindset: challenged the status quo, thinks outside the box, and embraces continuous learning.
Technical Expertise
- Deep knowledge of DevOps practices:
- CI/CD: Jenkins, TeamCity, TFS, Travis CI.
- Containers: Docker, Kubernetes.
- Configuration Management: Ansible, Chef, Puppet.
- Cloud: AWS (with preference for Azure/GCP experience).
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): HashiCorp (Terraform, Vault, Consul), AWS CloudFormation.
- Monitoring/Observability: LGTM Suite, Prometheus, Splunk.
- Secrets Management: Vault proficiency highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience with scripting languages: Python, Bash, Go, TypeScript, or PowerShell.
- ⭐ Advanced AI Agents: Experience designing, implementing, and scaling AI-driven automation—including multi-agent architectures, custom agent development, and server infrastructure.
