Job Description

A global transaction banking client is expanding its global liquidity management platform to onboard new clients and support transaction volumes well beyond what the current architecture can handle. Insight Global are seeking two Senior Java Developers to lead the migration of the existing monolithic platform to a scalable microservices architecture.

As a SWIFT member, the bank is subject to ongoing SWIFT regulatory change. These engineers will own the modernisation of the platform's message types to the new ISO 20022 format and keep the platform compliant as standards evolve. Alongside the re-architecture and modernisation work, they will stabilise the platform's production support function, improving reliability and cutting operational incidents as volumes scale.

This is a hands-on senior role suited to an engineer who has taken a monolith to microservices in a regulated environment and is comfortable owning delivery end to end.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
