Key Responsibilities
As a SOC Analyst, you’ll be a core part of our Security Operations Centre (SOC), monitoring, analysing, and responding to security threats and incidents. This role offers immediate hands-on experience in a fast-paced, supportive environment.
Duties Include:
- Monitoring and responding to cybersecurity alerts and incidents
- Escalating high-priority incidents as needed
- Proposing SOC tuning requests to optimise responsiveness
- Producing detailed security reports
- Maintaining up-to-date awareness of emerging threats and vulnerabilities
- Mentoring and supporting colleagues on security best practices
Requirements
While 1-2 years of similar experience is desirable, the most capable candidates will bring a mix of technical knowledge and passion for cybersecurity.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven knowledge of computer networks, operating systems, and security principles
- Understanding of cybersecurity risks across technologies and effective mitigation strategies
- Hands-on experience with key security tools, including:
- Network and application firewalls
- Host-based intrusion prevention systems (HIPS)
- Enterprise-level antivirus/EDR solutions
- Demonstrated ability to:
- Apply incident response frameworks
- Educate on common attack surfaces and malware types
- Operate efficiently in a dynamic 24/7 SOC environment

Advanced Edge (Desirable):
- Relevant academic or professional certifications (e.g., CCNA Security, CEH, CISSP, OSCP)
- Prior work in -scripting (Python, PowerShell) for security automation
- Hands-on experience with SIEM (e.g., Splunk), SIEM integrations, or log analysis
