Soccer In-Ground Correspondent – Dundee, Scotland
Become an In-Ground Correspondent for Stats Perform to Revolutionise Soccer Data Collection!
Job Purpose
To serve as an In-Ground Correspondent working on behalf of Stats Perform, collecting Opta data for analysis within collection hubs.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure timely delivery of team-sheets and pre-game information in full compliance with Opta deadlines—arriving at the ground up to 90 minutes before kick-off.
- Collect live in-play statistics and conduct real-time analysis directly from match venues.
- Collaborate with in-office analysts to deliver accurate, live data throughout matches.
- Confirm and clarify collected data using official sources to guarantee quality.
- Acquire specialist knowledge of teams assigned to you for high-quality in-game analysis.
Personal Competencies Required
- Reliability & Availability
- Availability required for most, if not all, home matches of designated teams.
- Matches predominantly take place on weekends and weekday evenings, occasionally at other times.
- Weekend work is mandatory.

Understanding of the Game
- Strong knowledge of soccer structures, including matchday procedures and in-game events.
- Familiarity with assigned team(s) and their strategies.

Punctuality & Diligence
- Crucial adherence to deadlines during live matches.
- Must exhibit honesty, integrity, and meticulous attention to detail in every task.

Interpretation & Communication
- Ability to accurately perceive and interpret live events before communicating them clearly to the In-Office Analyst.

- Engagement in ongoing training sessions, including close-season sessions and periodic quality assessments.
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills for seamless collaboration.
- In-depth knowledge of soccer, complemented by a genuine passion for the sport.
- Keen attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to accuracy.
- Club awareness—familiarity with teams or clubs in your region.
- Experience with performance analysis or data collection (advantageous but not mandatory).
