Care Worker (Social Care Support) – 48 Hours Per Week

Key Duties

  • Provide personal care, including bathing, toileting, dressing, and meal support
  • Assist with medication administration (in line with care plans)
  • Engage in and help coordinate residents’ daily activities, hobbies, or community outings
  • Follow care plans, company policies, and procedures
  • Build rapport with residents by maintaining an open, honest, and considerate working relationship
  • Document daily records rigorously
  • Complete required training as necessary

Sunnyside House

Located in Birdwood, near the Forest of Dean, this detached country home with scenic gardens offers residential support for up to 11 men and women who live with learning disabilities, autism, and associated complex needs.

  • Community vibe: Warm, sociable, and deeply rooted in a family culture
  • In-house enrichment:
    • A Day Activities Coordinator develops tailored programmes based on personal interests and capabilities
    • New activity suite featuring:
      • Entertainment centric equipment: Flat-screen TV, computers, electric keyboards, guitars, musical instruments.
      • Recreation & social space: Pool table, bingo machine, live music systems.
    • Assessment & skills classroom: Arts, crafts, and quiet focus rooms.
