At NewGen, we’re a global social creative and creator agency made up of over 100 talented people worldwide, with offices in London (UK), Manchester (UK), and New York (USA). We partner with leading brands to shape culture, tell stories that matter, and harness the power of social-first creative and creators to drive meaningful impact. As a fast-growing agency with a collaborative, ambitious spirit, we bring together data, strategy, creativity, and innovation to deliver work that actually cuts through, connects and creates conversation.
Founded by our 30-under-30 co-founders, NewGen is an independent agency working with some of the world’s biggest brands. Privately owned and built to challenge the big networks and stale traditional agencies, we move fast, live social, and know that our fresh ideas can compete with anyone. In fact, we know it’s the only way to deliver work that consumers care about.
Our work is trusted by some of the world’s biggest brands, including Pepsi, Samsung, Amazon, SEGA, and CashApp. Just as importantly, we’re the agency of choice for leading creators shaping culture today — from KSI and Amelia Dimoldenberg to PewDiePie. When the people driving conversations and influencing audiences trust us, it’s no surprise that the world’s most ambitious brands do too.
Want to join the team? Here are our non-negotiables.
- Energy – Get involved, be heard, and contribute. This isn’t the place for an easy ride — we want people who bring energy and ideas.
- Quality – Quality comes first. If it doesn’t feel right, speak up. Everything we create should push boundaries and break new ground.
- Collaboration – We win as a team. No egos, no judgment — just support, collaboration, and collective success.
- Creativity – We thrive on fresh thinking. New ideas and bold approaches are what keep us moving forward.
- Partnership – Be a great partner to our clients. Everything we do should deliver on their objectives and create a positive, collaborative experience. This is paramount.
What’s it like in the New York office?
Life in our New York office is all about start-up energy with the backing of a global agency. Based in the heart of Flatiron, we’re a close-knit team building something special and looking for people who want to grow with us. If you join full-time, you’ll be hybrid with a minimum of three days a week in the office; on a freelance basis, you’ll be in the studio 1–2 days a week to collaborate in person with the wider team, with the rest of your time worked flexibly/remotely.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The Role We’re looking for a Social Creator to join us either full-time or on a freelance/contract basis (1–2 days per week, initial 8-week engagement with a strong likelihood of extension). This is a hands-on, in-the-weeds role for someone who lives online, shoots and edits instinctively, and knows what makes people stop scrolling — not a role for someone who just wants to observe from the sidelines. You’ll work across our client roster, creating and editing socially native content, turning briefs into TikTok-first and Instagram-first work, and helping bring ideas to life in the field and in the edit. You’ll work closely with our senior creative and strategy team, learning fast, taking feedback in stride, and building a portfolio of work for brands that actually move culture.
As a Social Creator at NewGen, you will:
- Create hands-on content – Shoot and edit socially native content across TikTok, Instagram, and emerging formats, translating briefs into scroll-stopping work. You’ll be as comfortable behind the camera as you are in the edit.
- Bring ideas to the table – Pitch in on brainstorms and concepting sessions with fresh, platform-native thinking. We want people who are chronically online and know what’s landing right now, not just what worked last year.
- Execute across formats and settings – Move comfortably between studio, location, and lifestyle shoots, adapting your approach to whatever the brand and platform need.
- Support senior creative leads – Work closely with senior creatives and strategists, turning direction into finished, polished content and helping keep projects moving day to day.
- Learn the craft fast – Take feedback well, iterate quickly, and build your skills across shooting, editing, and platform-native storytelling with support from a team that wants to see you grow.
- Champion collaboration – Partner across creative, strategy, and account teams to make sure every idea gets executed well and on time.

Social first x brand impact We’re not an advertising agency — we live and breathe culture, constantly plugged into the trends, conversations, and creators that are shaping the world. To succeed here, you need a deep understanding of the creator landscape, an instinct for what resonates online, and the ability to translate trends and cultural insight into work that feels authentic, bold, and social-first. It’s ok to be ‘chronically online’.
Mandatory
- Food & beverage content experience – Proven experience creating food and beverage social content that looks premium and elevated, not like a snapshot. You know how to style, shoot, and edit dishes and drinks so they feel scroll-stopping and on-brand.
These aren’t mandatories, but we’d love you to have:
- 2-4 years of experience creating content for social-first brands, whether agency-side, in-house, or as a creator yourself
- Native social media user, fluent in trends & memes across platforms
- Comfortable shooting and editing your own content, with a working knowledge of tools like CapCut, Premiere, FinalCut, or similar
- An eye for what makes content feel native to a platform rather than “advertised”
- A point of view on what’s working right now across TikTok, Instagram, and beyond
- Ability to take direction and feedback well, and turn it around quickly
- Some experience working to briefs, deadlines, or in a fast-paced team environment
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Comfortable using project management tools
- Bonus: photography, design, or basic motion graphics skills
- Bonus: knowledge of or interest in the gaming industry and its creators, reflecting our heritage and strength in this space
Employment & compensation We’re open to hiring for this role either full-time or on a freelance/contract basis, depending on the right fit.
Full-time
- Salary range: $65,000–$85,000, based on experience
- Location: Hybrid — NYC (Flatiron), minimum 3 days per week in office
