Job Description Overview
This role plays a critical operational and delivery role within AtkinsRéalis’ social impact agenda, supporting the effective implementation of a strategically aligned portfolio of partnerships and programmes. Working closely with the Head of Social Impact in the Corporate Impact & ESG function, you will ensure that partnerships and programmes are well managed, effectively governed, and delivering against defined outcomes, contributing to social value delivery, business priorities, and community impact.
You will act as a key connector across the Corporate Impact & ESG function and wider business, translating strategy into delivery by coordinating partners, supporting teams, and embedding programmes into bids, projects, and workforce initiatives. With responsibility for day-to-day management, performance tracking, and continuous improvement, the role ensures the portfolio operates efficiently, delivers measurable results, and maintains high standards of governance and compliance.
Your role
- Deliver the Partnerships & Programmes strategy, supporting its implementation through effective coordination, planning, and execution.
- Manage day-to-day partnership relationships, ensuring agreements are delivered, stakeholders are engaged, and programmes remain aligned to defined objectives.
- Operate strong governance processes, maintaining documentation, tracking performance, and ensuring consistent reporting across the portfolio.
- Monitor and assess programme performance, gathering data and insight to support portfolio reviews and identify opportunities for improvement, scaling, or exit.
- Coordinate delivery across the business, working with social value consultants, project teams, and functional leads to embed partnerships and programmes into activities and priorities.
- Support work winning and client engagement, identifying and activating opportunities where partnerships can add value to bids and projects.
- Oversee delivery of core programmes such as volunteering, STEM, and corporate giving, ensuring high-quality execution and engagement.
- Support impact measurement and reporting, ensuring outcomes are captured consistently and translated into clear, evidence-based insights.
- Maintain compliance in delivery, working with Legal and Integrity & Ethics to ensure all partnerships and activities meet UK charity law and internal requirements.
- Build strong working relationships across stakeholders, facilitating collaboration between partners and internal teams such as Early Careers, HR, Integrity & Ethics, and Procurement.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
