Social Media Account Director (12-Month FTC), London / Hybrid – £55K

We're looking for a Social Media Account Director to join a growing independent agency on a 12-month maternity cover contract.

Working across well-known consumer brands, you'll lead client relationships, drive social-first thinking and help deliver creative, effective campaigns that connect with audiences and generate real results.

This is a hands-on Account Director role, ideal for someone who combines excellent client leadership with a strong understanding of social media, content and culture. You'll be a trusted advisor to clients, identifying opportunities for growth while working closely with creative teams to develop engaging social-first campaigns.

You'll spend your time building strong client partnerships, shaping social strategies, driving campaign delivery and ensuring work is delivered to the highest possible standard.

  • Lead day-to-day client relationships across key social accounts
  • Build trusted partnerships with senior client stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities to grow accounts and develop additional projects
  • Collaborate with creative teams on social-first content and short-form video campaigns
  • Monitor social trends, platform developments and cultural moments to inform recommendations
  • Produce reporting, analysis and actionable insights for clients
  • Ensure all content and campaign activity is delivered to an exceptional standard
  • Manage projects from briefing through to delivery
  • Support the wider team with strategic thinking and social expertise

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has strong agency-side account management experience with a significant social media focus
  • Has experience leading client relationships and presenting confidently to senior stakeholders
  • Understands social strategy, content development and platform best practice
  • Has experience delivering social-first campaigns across multiple channels
  • Is commercially aware and able to spot opportunities for growth
  • Is highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced agency environment

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly respected independent agency, work with household-name brands and play a key role within a growing social offering.

Hybrid working. Three days per week in the office, with regular time spent with clients.
