Social Media and Content Executive
We are looking to recruit a Social Media and Content Executive to join our team based at our Midlands site. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £28,000 - £29,000 per annum.
The Royal Air Force Museum is a national museum, a Government non-departmental public body (NDPB) and a registered charity.
We have two public sites in the Midlands and London and a stored collection at Stafford. Our purpose is to share the RAF story – past, present and future – using the stories of its people and our collections to engage, inform and inspire.

What we are looking for in the Social Media and Content Executive role:
We are currently looking to recruit a creative and enthusiastic Social Media & Content Executive to support the delivery of the Museum’s Digital Marketing and Social Media Strategy. The successful candidate will support the creation of engaging digital content, management of social media platforms, audience engagement, campaign delivery, and analytics reporting to help grow the Museum’s online presence and visitor engagement.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 18 month’s experience creating content for social media platforms, strong communication skills, and an understanding of digital marketing, photography/videography, and audience engagement. They will be organised, adaptable, and able to work collaboratively across teams in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Creating and scheduling social media content across multiple platforms
- Supporting digital marketing campaigns and events
- Community management and audience engagement
- Photography and videography support
- Analytics reporting and performance monitoring
- Supporting wider marketing and commercial activities

The post will be based at our Midlands site.
Occasional evening and weekend working may be required to support events, campaigns, and content capture activities.
