About us: With over 60 years of experience in the electronic security industry, Abel is proud to be one of the largest privately owned security system providers in the UK. We specialise in CCTV installation, intruder alarms, access control, fire safety and monitored security solutions for both residential and commercial properties.

Job Summary

  • Title: Social Media Assistant
  • Location: Leicester
  • Working hours: Full-time or Part-time
  • Apprentice: Apprenticeship option available

The Role: The purpose of the role is to support an assistant/apprentice with the imagination and skills to create interesting and engaging content for Abel Alarm Company Limited. The position is supported by our Social Media and Content Creator, who will manage, support and encourage the assistant/apprentice to reach their highest potential whilst overseeing their development and providing valuable work experience within the company.

This role is based in Leicester LE1, and may include some travel with our Social Media and Content Creator from time to time. The hours and days of working will be agreed at interview.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and schedule engaging social media content across platforms including Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and YouTube.
  • Assist with writing captions, promotional content and marketing materials.
  • Develop creative ideas for videos, graphics and digital campaigns that increase audience engagement.
  • Monitor social media trends and recommend new content ideas to strengthen brand visibility.
  • Support the growth of online engagement, brand awareness and community interaction.
  • Assist with photography, videography, photo/video editing and content planning.
  • Track social media performance metrics and prepare basic reports to measure campaign effectiveness.
