💬 Korean Social Media Community Manager (Moderator)

We’re seeking experienced native-level Korean speakers to engage with and grow communities for our Korea-based clients. You’ll act as the voice of the brand, ensuring positive, secure, and inclusive digital spaces.


📌 About the Role

Your role revolves around fostering authentic community growth while maintaining a safe, welcoming environment across multiple platforms.

You will:

  • Represent brands authentically on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and other platforms by crafting engaging, culturally nuanced responses.
  • Represent our global client base in both Direct Messages & replies, ensuring consistent brand tone of voice.
  • Engage with audiences to build trust, deeper connections, and online communities.
  • Act as a moderator, enforcing positive, inclusive, and bias-free guidelines to ensure a safe experience for all contributions.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, platform updates**, and audience expectations in Korea.
  • Collaborate with UK-based teams via varied tools for seamless engagement (even when crossing time zones).

Impact:

  • Drive meaningful engagement and conversation volume in Korean-language social spaces.
  • Build a trusted brand voice that resonates with audiences.

🏙️ Working Environment

Available for mixed workloads, covering projects across:

  • Weekday evenings (strong UK time zones)
  • Weekend shifts (depending on project needs)

Flexibility Key:

  • Your schedule must accommodate before-hours & weekend coverage for clients expecting immediate responses.
  • Hours for specific projects will be clarified in the hiring process.

🔍 Key Responsibilities

Core Functions:

  • Maintain a round-the-clock presence in communities, catering to global audience needs.
  • Create and curate content that builds rapport and drives engagement.
  • Moderate discussions to promote a positive, inclusive culture.
  • Use data-driven insights to improve community interaction strategies.
  • Assist in strategy development and platform integration where needed.

🎯 Requirements

We’re looking for a decision-making communicator with:

🗣️ Language Skills

  • Fluent Korean (essential for daily community posts; realist/audience understanding crucial).
  • Advanced to near-native English (internal training/work in English).

🔎 Technical & Technical Competencies

  • Experience as an Engagement/Social Media Specialist or comparable roles.
  • Grassroots Community Management knowledge (maximising interaction, conflict resolution).
  • Heavy platform usage: Majored platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook) should feel intuitive.
  • Familiarity with Trending Content (Native content trends, micro-influencer collaboration if applicable).
  • Comfort with agency management tools (examples: Sprinklr, Social Sprout).

💻 Technical IT Requirements

For our BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) policy:

  • Device Requirements:
    • OS: Windows 11 or Mac OS X (14 Sonoma or newer)
    • 8GB RAM minimum (16GB+ recommended).
    • 40GB free hard drive (SSD preferred for performance).
  • Network + Security:
    • ** minimum broadband 20 Mbps download/1 Mbps upload** (ideal: 50 Mbps/3 Mbps).
  • Devices/May need: Webcam (with solid lighting), microphone/not headset. Must have a Facebook account if the project demands it.
