We're looking for a creative, social-first content creator to join our marketing team and help bring the Universal Works story to life across Instagram, TikTok and emerging platforms.
Given you’ll be out capturing content, in the studio, on location, we're flexible on your base, provided you can be in Nottingham a minimum of two days a week to work closely with the team and products. Applicants from across the UK are welcome to apply, so long as regular commuting to Nottingham is realistic for you.
You'll capture the people, products, places and everyday moments that make Universal Works what it is, and help us tell more stories, more often, in a way that feels native to each platform while staying true to the brand.
About the Role
The way people discover and engage with brands has changed. Short-form video and authentic, social-first storytelling now play a vital role in building awareness, community and connection.
Some of our most successful content has come from simple moments captured in real time: store visits, meeting collaborators, time in the studio, events, and everyday life within the business. The challenge is creating enough of it, consistently.
As Social Content Creator, you will identify these moments, shape them into engaging stories, and publish them across our channels – from concept through to delivery.
What You will Do
- Capture and edit social-first content for Instagram, TikTok and other platforms, using a smartphone as the primary tool
- Produce content from events, store visits, photoshoots, collaborations, travel and day-to-day life at Universal Works.
- Develop content concepts and storyboards that support marketing priorities and brand storytelling.
- Edit self-shot and existing footage into platform-native content.
- Support campaign launches with complementary social-first assets.
- Stay across emerging social trends, formats, creators and platforms.
- Work closely with the wider marketing team on broader brand activity.
- Assist with content planning, asset organisation and scheduling.
- Travel regularly within the UK and occasionally internationally to capture content for stores, events, collaborations and marketing activity.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
