Job Overview
Are you a passionate content creator with a love for social media and beauty/health trends? We’re looking for a Social Media Content Assistant to join Boots UK’s dynamic marketing team in Nottingham, Beeston! This role offers the chance to shape our organic social presence while working within the exciting beauty and health industry.
You’ll work closely with Social Media Managers and Assistant Social Media Managers, creating compelling content, planning strategies, and driving engagement across platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook. If you’re a creative problem-solver with a keen eye for detail, this could be your next big move.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Strategy
- Develop high-quality, on-brand content across video, photography, copy, and graphic design for all social channels.
- Brainstorm ideas for viral TikTok trends, brand launches, and campaign concepts—aligning with Boots’ strategy while adding your own creative spark.
- Follow creative briefs to deadlines, delivering polished content that reflects Boots’ voice and standards.
- Capture content at shoots, events, and brand activities—making sure every moment is high-impact and engaging.
- Stay ahead of industry trends in health, beauty, and social media to keep Boots’ content at the forefront of innovation.
Social Media Management
- Assist with scheduling @BootsUK’s social calendars for TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram, including:
- Stock checking & tagging products
- Post publishing (with out-of-hours support where required)
- Creating content in Canva for optimal visual appeal
- Handle content stock orders and maintain inventory levels for future shoots.
- Represents Boots at events across the UK (often outside standard hours) to capture authentic, brand-aligned content.
- Supports the influercer team with daily tasks and ensures seamless collaboration.

Administrative & Team Support
- Prepare presentations and reports detailing social media strategies and plans for internal stakeholders.
- Act as an admin hub for the content and social team, coordinating tasks and ensuring all projects run smoothly.
Must-Have Requirements
✔ Passion for beauty/health content – Genuine interest in Boots’ brands, from TikTok sensations like P.Louise to everyday health and wellness products. ✔ Camera confidence – Comfortable both behind the camera and in front of it for shoots and content creation. ✔ Influencer-savvy – Familiar with micro to macro influencers (1K–1M followers) and how to collaborate effectively. ✔ Technical skills –
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro)
- Experienced with Canva, CapCut, or video editing software
- Strong copywriting and proofreading abilities with an eye for detail ✔ Creative mindset –
- Ability to generate fresh, original campaign ideas independently.
- Think strategically about platform trends (e.g., TikTok algorithms, Instagram Reels) and user engagement. ✔ Fast-paced agility –
- Handles multiple projects simultaneously with tight deadlines.
- Comfortable adjusting to dynamic change—both in tasks and working hours. ✔ Brand experience – Prior experience creating content for commercial or beauty brands.
