Founded in 2020, Electric Gallery is a modern art gallery and online platform representing some of the most exciting contemporary artists in the UK. Based in East London (E18), we specialise in high quality limited edition prints, original artworks and creative partnerships. Social media plays a major role in how we tell artist stories, showcase new work and engage our growing collector community.
We are Hiring: Social Media Executive and Content Creator
We are currently offering an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Social Media Executive and Content Creator. The role is hybrid based from our gallery office in East London (E18).
Job Title: Social Media Executive and Content Creator
Key Responsibilities:
- Film, edit and produce high quality, highly engaging, short-form video content to a fast turnaround.
- Create paid advertising content for use across social media.
- Maintain a consistent content calendar that aligns with brand objectives and commercial priorities.
- Contribute to social planning sessions with research, trend insights and creative ideas.
- Create visually strong reels, stories and graphics.
- Write clear, engaging and on-brand copy for captions, reels, stories and scripts.
- Deliver content that follows best practices for each platform and understands different format requirements.
- Support voiceover content and occasionally appear in content when needed.
- Stay up to date with the latest social trends, editing styles, platform algorithms and cultural moments.
- Monitor performance and compile regular reports on account growth, reach and engagement.
- Assist with community engagement where needed.
- Support the creation of paid social ads on Meta and Instagram.

Portfolio Requirement
Applicants MUST submit examples or showreel demonstrating recent social content, filming and editing work and any relevant campaigns. Any applications without this will not be considered.
Candidate Overview
This role suits someone who is passionate about social media, video editing and creative storytelling. You must be highly aware of cultural and platform trends and have a natural sense of what works and why on social platforms. You will be comfortable working autonomously and managing multiple projects at the same time. Previous experience within the luxury goods, home furnishings or interior design sectors would be highly beneficial.
Candidate:
- Minimum Two years of experience in a social media or content creation role.
- Highly confident filming with a phone or camera and able to direct shoots confidently.
- Extremely strong and fast editing skills with a passion for crafting polished, engaging video content.
- Demonstrable understanding of short form video best practice.
- Strong researching skills required for producing informative content quickly.
- A high level ability to record, edit audio (speech) and produce captions.
- A keen understanding of the luxury sector (art or otherwise) or home furnishings or interiors markets.
- Deep knowledge of Instagram, TikTok and other platforms, including their content requirements.
- High-level of proficiency using design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Capcut and similar graphic design tools.
- Comfortable writing copy and captions that feel stylish and aligned with our audience.
- Organised, reliable and able to manage deadlines and workflows.
- Enthusiastic, proactive and excited by storytelling within the art and luxury space.
- Experience with making creative for paid ads media.
- Able to work from our London office across 2-3 days per week.
- Comfortable travelling and working on location for shoots.
- A good understanding of AI, its relevance to social content creation and writing prompts (highly desirable).
- Experience with ai audio speech platforms (desirable).
