JOB PURPOSE:
Burberry is seeking an experienced Social Media Coordinator to join our Organic Social Media team. You will have a proven track record of demonstrating exceptional knowledge and understanding of the Social Media landscape globally – including content ideation & optimisation, publishing algorithms, building and engaging communities, social listening & reporting, planning & execution of socially-led campaigns, understanding of the latest technologies impacting key global platforms and a proven ability to deliver results with a drive for resting and learning.
You live and breathe social, with your finger on the pulse of what’s trending to build & engage social communities around those trends. You are naturally curious, always seeking out best practice examples – you create them when they don’t exist. You love to break down barriers with new ways of doing things. You will support the day-to-day implementation of the channel strategies globally, with a focus on connecting global and local strategies, emboldening our defined Social KPIs and delivering game-changing strategies across western and APAC channels.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Support the day-to-day implementation of social channel strategies, ensuring best in class execution across platforms. • Understand platform nuances and confidently publish on all social channels, pulling different publishing levers to optimise performance. • Serve as the APAC platform lead, acting as the key point of contact between global and local teams, coordinating calendars and managing approval processes. • Track and analyse performance across key KPIs, interpret platform and social data, and deliver actionable insights and optimisation recommendations. • Be confident using excel to manipulate the data you need to create content and campaign reports. • Own commerce on social platforms, liaising with relevant teams to ensure catalogues are up to date. • Develop and execute social-first campaigns and content that bring Burberry’s brand narrative to life in a culturally relevant way. • Collaborate with creative teams to design and implement innovative, social-first campaigns that engage our audience. • Identify and respond to trends, ensuring Burberry is part of the wider cultural dialogue in an authentic way. • Confidently manage projects end-to-end, from strategy and content planning through to delivery and execution, ensuring excellence throughout. • Work with a broad range of social tools for campaign execution and performance analysis - from listening to content-planning. • Staying on top of, and proactively share news, trends, emerging platforms and interesting examples within the fashion sphere. • Champion Burberry’s brand values across all social activations, working closely with cross-functional teams (social media, digital, PR, VIP and events teams) to deliver cohesive, impactful strategies.

EXPERIENCE:
• An in-depth understanding of all western social media platforms and native content, including but not limited to: Instagram, Facebook, X, Pinterest, Snapchat, TikTok, YouTube. • An understanding of Asian social networks is essential – WeChat, Weibo, Douyin, LINE, Kakao, Little Red Book. • Analytical mind with an understanding of social metrics, and how to interpret data into actionable insights and learnings. • Strong creative instinct with the ability to develop original, highly shareable ideas. • Experience delivering social-first brand campaigns from ideation to execution. • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. • A high attention to detail and a track record of operating in a fast-paced environment is essential.
