Salary: £26,000 - £30,000 depending upon experience
Location: Bodymoor Heath Training Ground

Aston Villa Women FC compete in the Barclays Women’s Super League, the highest league in the country for women’s professional football. The Role
We have a new opportunity for a Social Media Executive to join the team to help shape the voice and presence of Aston Villa Women across all social platforms. In this role, you will manage the day-to-day content output across our Club’s social media channels – ensuring that all content aligns and reflects the Club’s identity, brand, and tone of voice.
- Manage the day-to-day scheduling, publishing, and optimization of Aston Villa Women’s social media, delivering high-quality content that engages and resonates with our fanbase.
- Lead the planning, creation, editing, and publication of phone-first content—including short-form video, interviews, and matchday and training footage—to support brand growth, fan engagement, and compelling storytelling.
- Deliver engaging, real-time social coverage for all Women’s matches and events, including live updates and on-the-ground video stories.
- Work closely within the wider content team to produce compelling and cohesive content aligned across channels.
- Contribute to the delivery of the social media strategy by identifying platform-specific opportunities to grow audiences and deepen fan engagement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to support the promotion of key news, communications, marketing activity, and ticketing updates across social channels.

The Person
We are looking for someone who is pro-active and hands on with the ability to help grow and enhance Aston Villa Women’s social media channels and digital output.
- Previous experience in social media platform engagement within sport or a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of current social media trends and best practices.
- Strong writing and editorial skills with the ability to adapt tone across audiences and channels that resonates with our fans and produce high-quality content whilst maintaining high attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills which are clear, concise, and accurate.
- Ability to plan, manage, and report on multiple projects and priorities effectively.
- Ability to build strong relationships.
- Hold a full, UK driving licence with access to your own vehicle.
- Ability to work flexibly as this role will include evenings, weekends, and matchdays.
