ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for a Social Media and Community Manager to take ownership of content creation, community building, and social media management across all BDV platforms. This role sits at the centre of a fast scaling luxury medical brand and reports directly into the Head of Communications.
This is a hands-on, creator-led role. The right person films on their phone, post produces on their phone, and publishes content the same day. They do not wait for a videographer. They do not wait for direction on what to post. They see the opportunity, they create, and they push the brand forward.
Critically, this person must understand how social media drives product growth. BDV is scaling a product line alongside a clinical services business. We need someone who has been part of growing a product through social, whether that is a DTC launch, a seeding programme, an influencer gifting campaign, or building a community that converts. If you have only ever managed an account without a product behind it, this is not the right fit.
Equally important is the community side. BDV’s growth depends on genuine relationship building across social platforms. This means daily engagement on other profiles, building connections with creators and clients, and turning the brand’s social presence from a broadcast channel into a living community.
You will work on the clinic floor at Selfridges alongside the clinical team, with direct access to Dr. Vali. The environment is high energy, high expectation, and high reward.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Content Creation and Copywriting
- Film, produce, and publish original short form video content daily using an iPhone, DJI Osmo Pocket, or equivalent mobile equipment. Content is created on the clinic floor, in the Selfridges environment, and on location as required.
- Post produce all content in-house using CapCut, Edits (Instagram), or equivalent mobile and desktop editing tools. This includes colour grading, text overlays, audio layering, transitions, and music selection.
- Create reels, TikToks, Stories, carousels, and static posts from concept through to final edit without reliance on external videographers or production teams.
- Write on-brand captions, scripts, hooks, and text overlays that reflect BDV’s clinical authority and luxury positioning.
- Develop content in line with monthly content calendars, campaign briefs, and platform best practices.
- Ensure all content is proofread, on-brand, compliant, and approved before publication.
- Continuously self-teach new post-production techniques, apps, and editing styles. Stay ahead of what the best phone-based creators at a luxury level are producing.

Community Building and Engagement
- Proactively engage on relevant accounts daily. Comment, like, reply, and build genuine relationships with creators, influencers, clients, and community voices in the BDV world.
- Build and nurture the BDV community across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Threads through consistent, authentic, and warm interaction.
- Respond to all comments, direct messages, and engagement opportunities in a manner consistent with the BDV brand voice. Timely, personal, and never generic.
- Identify potential collaborators, brand-aligned creators, and community voices. Flag opportunities to the Head of Communications.
- Monitor competitor and aspirational luxury accounts for content trends, engagement tactics, and community strategies that can be adapted for BDV.
Influencer Seeding and UGC
- Support the influencer seeding programme including outreach, gifting coordination, tracking, and follow up.
- Identify and engage user-generated content opportunities, managing permissions and repurposing content in line with brand guidelines.
- Research and identify new influencer and creator talent across beauty, luxury, longevity, and high performance living verticals.
- Build real relationships with influencer and creator profiles as a community builder, not just a brand account.
Channel Management
- Own day-to-day management of all BDV social media channels, including scheduling, publishing, and quality control.
- Maintain the monthly content calendar in coordination with the Head of Communications. All deadlines and publishing windows must be met.
- Apply hashtag strategy, first comment formatting, and platform-specific requirements consistently across all posts.
- Flag any content that does not meet BDV standards immediately. Nothing publishes unless it meets the brand’s visual and editorial standard.
Performance and Reporting
- Monitor social media performance including reach, impressions, saves, shares, follower growth, and link clicks.
- Compile regular performance reports using platform analytics. Provide clear insights and recommendations to the Head of Communications.
- Stay current with platform algorithm changes, content trends, and emerging formats. Integrate relevant insights into BDV’s content approach.
REQUIREMENTS
- A minimum of two to three years of experience in a social media, content creation, or digital marketing role.
- Demonstrable experience creating and managing social media content for a luxury, beauty, wellness, or premium consumer brand.
- Strong copywriting skills with an ability to adapt tone and format across different platforms and content types.
- Hands-on experience producing short-form video content for Instagram Reels and TikTok.
- A portfolio of short-form video content that you have personally filmed and edited on a smartphone.
- Proficiency in social media management and scheduling platforms such as Hootsuite or Sprout Social.
- Proficiency in creative tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and emerging social platforms.
- An understanding of SEO, content optimisation, and social media analytics.
- Meticulous attention to detail with a high standard of written English.
- An existing network of content creators is desirable.
- Initiative and self-direction. You do not wait to be told what to film. You see the opportunity and you act.

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE
- One to three years in a social media, content creation, or digital marketing role.
- Experience creating content for a luxury, beauty, or premium consumer brand.
- Familiarity with influencer seeding, gifting programmes, or creator outreach.
- Understanding of community management tools such as ManyChat or equivalent DM automation platforms.
- Experience with Klaviyo or equivalent email marketing platforms.
- Basic proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent design tools.
- An existing network of content creators or influencers.
- Interest in or experience with luxury medical aesthetics, longevity, skincare science, or skin technology.
