WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Ten Toes is looking for a Social Media Executive (Community Manager) to join our content team, working closely with leading rightsholders to help them grow, engage and deepen connections with their online communities. The successful applicant will work closely with internal content managers and our Social Video Manager to deliver outstanding social content across platforms including TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, X, and Threads. We’re looking for someone with a keen eye for spotting social and cultural trends, experience engaging communities online, and a passion for sport.
WHO WE NEED
We’re looking for a highly-engaged, proactive individual with a keen eye for both detail and social/cultural trends. The successful candidate will provide essential support to our internal content managers and the Social Video Manager to execute channel plans, as well as spotting engagement opportunities to drive meaningful interactions with their audiences.
The ideal candidate will have excellent experience managing online communities, understand how to optimise content for specific platforms, and be confident in using design and video tools (Photoshop, Azzuu, Slate) to optimise assets for high-impact on social. They must also be able to spot storytelling opportunities, ensuring our channels are well planned, but also reactive, relevant, and authentic.
It goes without saying the successful applicant will have a real passion for sport – and football in particular – is dedicated, sociable, and committed. Strong communication skills are a must for this role, as well as a proactive approach.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Actively interact with online communities, engaging with other users’ posts and comments
- Identifying social and cultural trends that can become content opportunities – delivered with relevancy and authenticity
- Ideate and publish planned and live content across social media channels
- Assist with writing captions that fit each platform’s tone, best practices – using design and video tools (Photoshop, Azzuu, Slate) to optimise distribution
- Provide dedicated support to our internal channel managers and our Social Video Manager across channel management, planning, and content scheduling
- Support across matchdays – ensuring content opportunities are identified, delivering content output, and engaging the community
- Monitor platforms and conversations to spot storytelling opportunities and then ideate how they are delivered across the channels
- Contribute to ideation and briefing sessions, working closely with the client, to drive creative innovation and effective implementation of the content strategy
- Use platform analytics to monitor engagement performance, particularly around community activity and reactive content, to inform future strategy
SKILLS & EXPERTISE
Essential:
- Demonstrable experience in managing and engaging with online communities, preferably for an agency or a sports rightsholder
- Excellent knowledge of the social media platforms and how to optimise for each one
- A proven track record of actively managing and building online communities, driving positive engagement
- Experience working with high-profile talent, brands, and/or organisations
- Experience creating and publishing reactive content under pressure
- Experience of working in sport
- Proficient in using design and/or video editing software (e.g., Photoshop, Azzuu, Slate) to rapidly optimise assets
- Strong communication skills
- Willingness to work weekends in line with the sporting calendar
- Strong copyediting, with a sharp eye for detail
- Experience of working in a team environment

- Experience of using analytics tools to assess content performance
- Experience working with editing software such as Adobe Photoshop
- Some knowledge, and a desire to enhance existing know-how, regarding how AI can improve workflows, processes, and delivery
