Social Media Executive
Full time | London (Mayfair) | £35,000 per annum
Role Purpose
Reporting to the Head of Marketing & Origination, the Social Media Executive will be responsible for managing and growing the company’s social media presence, alongside developing the CEO’s personal brand across relevant platforms.
The role will involve creating engaging, high-quality social media content in-house, including filming and editing short-form video, developing thought leadership content, and identifying opportunities for the CEO to provide commentary on relevant industry news and trends.
Working closely with the PR, marketing and wider team, the Social Media Executive will ensure all content aligns with the company’s brand positioning, tone of voice and wider communications strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Management & Content Creation
- Manage the day-to-day running and growth of the company’s social media channels.
- Develop and maintain a structured content calendar aligned with marketing, PR and business objectives.
- Film, edit and produce short-form video content in-house, including CEO videos, interviews, commentary pieces, event content and behind-the-scenes footage.
- Create engaging written and visual content tailored to different platforms, including LinkedIn and other relevant channels.
- Ensure all content reflects the company’s tone of voice and aligns with website content, campaigns and wider brand activity.

CEO Personal Brand & Thought Leadership
- Support the growth of the CEO’s personal brand by creating content that positions them as an influential, knowledgeable and trusted voice within the industry.
- Monitor relevant industry news, market developments and wider conversations to identify opportunities for timely CEO commentary.
- Draft and produce reactive social content responding to relevant news, trends and developments.
- Work with the CEO to capture insights, opinions and perspectives that can be developed into engaging social content.
- Build a consistent content approach that increases visibility, credibility and engagement with key audiences.
PR & Marketing Collaboration
- Work closely with the PR team to amplify media coverage, announcements and campaigns across social channels.
- Repurpose PR activity, media coverage and thought leadership into engaging social content.
- Ensure social media activity supports wider marketing initiatives and company objectives.
- Collaborate with the wider team to identify content opportunities across the business.

Events & Brand Content
- Capture photo and video content at company events, industry events and relevant business activities.
- Create pre-event, live and post-event social content to maximise brand visibility.
- Develop ongoing content opportunities from events, meetings and company activity.
Analytics & Optimisation
- Monitor social media performance and provide insights to improve content strategy.
- Stay up to date with social media trends, platform developments and emerging opportunities, including AI-powered search and content discovery.
- Test new content formats and approaches to improve reach and engagement.
Requirements
- Experience managing social media channels for a brand, business or senior individual.
- Strong understanding of LinkedIn and social media best practice.
- Demonstrable experience filming and editing short-form video content.
- Strong copywriting and storytelling skills.
- Ability to identify relevant news, trends and industry conversations and turn them into engaging content.
- Creative, proactive and comfortable taking ownership of content ideas.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Comfortable working closely with senior stakeholders and filming content in-house.
