Social Media Executive

Social Media Executive – Join the Marketing Team at John D Wood & Co.

About the Role

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of all John D Wood & Co. and associated brand social media accounts
  • Collaborate with the wider marketing team to develop and implement marketing strategies for business units
  • Capture engaging content:
    • Shoot and edit high-quality, on-brand visuals and videos for all social media platforms
  • Develop campaign concepts:
    • Brainstorm and execute creative ideas for social media campaigns that resonate with our audience
  • Be camera-ready: Represent the brand by confidently appearing in social content when needed
  • Schedule posts:
    • Manage posting calendars and ensure timely content delivery across all platforms
  • Maintain and update profiles:
    • Keep social media profiles polished, relevant, and reflective of the John D Wood & Co. brand
  • Monitor trends:
    • Stay updated on the latest social media trends to keep content fresh and competitive
  • Review progress and report against key channel metrics and targets (daily, weekly, monthly, and ad hoc as required)

  • More than 2 years’ hands-on experience in a marketing role
  • Experience running successful social media campaigns from conception to execution, either at an agency or fast-paced client-side environment
  • Editing videos and scheduling posts experience
  • A team player and self-starter comfortable:
    • Working autonomously in a small team
    • Fitting into a large-scale organisation
  • Highly organised with the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to take initiative and seek responsibility
  • Strong enthusiasm and motivation to achieve
