Role: Social Media Executive – Remote

Salary: £25k- £35k per annum DOE + £6k bonus

Working Hours: 40 hours per week on an 8 week rota

General overview:

We are searching for an experienced and highly creative social media specialist to join our client's team. Due to the nature of the business we are searching for candidates with a genuine passion for football and betting.

The brand is a well-established sports betting content business with over 1,000,000 followers across social media, a highly engaged email newsletter, and a growing website audience. This is not an entry-level content role, you'll have real responsibility from day one and a genuine say in how the content evolves.

Video experience is essential for this role. As content continues to shift toward video across every platform, we're looking for someone with hands-on experience creating content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, or similar.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about social media trends, possess excellent copywriting skills, have a proven track record of managing and growing social media platforms, and have a genuine love for football.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and edit video content across social platforms as part of the wider content mix
  • Research football matches, identify quality betting angles, and write clear, accurate betting content
  • Create engaging content across social, email, and website
  • Explore new platforms, formats, and ideas to help the brand reach new audiences
  • Analyse performance data across bets and content engagement to guide ongoing improvements
  • Maintain a consistent, authentic brand tone of voice across all channels
  • Support day-to-day content operations and bring fresh ideas to the table

The ideal candidate:

  • Experience creating video content (TikTok, Reels, YouTube, or similar)
  • Strong writing and copywriting skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Genuine passion for football and sports betting, with a solid understanding of the game
  • In-depth knowledge of social platforms and how content performs and distributes on each
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a fully remote setting
  • Reliable, organised, and able to manage your own workload
  • A creative thinker who brings fresh ideas rather than waiting to be told what to do
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required around match schedules

It’s a bonus if you also have:

  • Knowledge of content marketing principles
  • Graphic design skills and experience using Figma, Photoshop or Canva
  • Interest in horse racing, darts or any other sport
