Social Media Lead


About the Role

Based in their modern Norfolk office (4 days in-person, 1 day remote), this market-leading digital entertainment business operates at scale where social media is central to brand growth, community building, and customer engagement. You will shape the company’s organic social strategy, driving measurable commercial impact and scaling its grassroots-focused initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

Social Strategy & Performance

  • Own the end-to-end organic social strategy, roadmaps, and execution across critical platforms
  • Align social roadmaps with marketing objectives, acquisition goals, and revenue objectives
  • Drive follower growth, engagement, reach, and audience quality through data-driven planning
  • Leverage trends, campaigns, partnerships, and user-generated content to boost brand awareness and conversions

Analytics & Insight-Led Decision Making

  • Design and maintain KPI frameworks measuring social impact—engagement, retention, conversion
  • Analyse audience behaviour, content performance, and scalability insights to refine strategy
  • Conduct A/B testing and continuous optimisation through experimentation
  • Present clear, actionable social reports to senior leadership, demonstrating ROI

Creative & Campaign Leadership

  • Develop and manage content calendars for multi-channel strategy (prioritise engaging, viral-friendly content)
  • Lead creative execution—storytelling, assets, captions—tailored to platform nuances and audience segments
  • Partner with marketing, creative, and tech teams to deliver cohesive, high-performing campaigns

Community Growth & Brand Advocacy

  • Build and nurture highly engaged communities across all social touchpoints
  • Foster participation, user-generated campaigns, and brand advocacy
  • Monitor sentiment and active community sentiment shifts to tailor messaging and strengthen loyalty
  • Translate insights into expansive, data-informed marketing strategies

Essential Requirements

  • Commercially-minded social media professional with self-starting, entrepreneurial drive
  • Proven track record in delivering organic social growth, from followership to lifetime value
  • Performance-paced with analytical rigor—comfortable with audience metrics, conversion attribution, and reporting
  • Experience in content ownership (calendar management, copywriting, visual storytelling)
  • Ability to pit strategic proposals against performance data to justify change or empowerment
  • Full-stack social media skills—channel expertise, cross-platform alignment, growth mindset
  • Strong stakeholder collaboration and stakeholder presentation skills (executives + creative partners)
  • African tools fluency (e.g., generative AI, data automation) seen as advantageous

Location & Compensation

Salary: £35,000 – £55,000 + highly competitive performance-related bonus (driven by personal & organisational goals) Hybrid Policy: 4 days in Norfolk office | 1 day remote Benefits Include:
