Social Media Lead
London | Hybrid (2 days per week) | Up to £75,000 + Benefits
An international financial services business is looking for an experienced Social Media Lead to own and evolve its global social media strategy.
This is a highly commercial leadership role for someone who combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
- You'll lead social across multiple international markets
- Manage both internal and agency resources
- Play a key role in delivering real-time content around major market events while operating within a highly regulated environment
This is an opportunity to join a marketing team undergoing significant investment and transformation, where you'll have real influence over how one of the company's most visible channels develops.
The Role
- Own the overall social media strategy across multiple markets.
- Lead content planning across LinkedIn, X, Instagram and Facebook.
- Manage an external social media agency and ensure consistently high standards.
- Coach and develop a junior Social Executive.
- Partner closely with market specialists, designers and compliance teams.
- Lead rapid-response social activity around major news and market developments.
- Shape the brand's tone of voice and social identity.
- Drive continual improvements across engagement, brand sentiment and audience growth.
- Introduce new ideas, processes and AI-enabled ways of working.

We're looking for someone who has
- Significant experience leading social media within fintech, financial services, investing, payments, banking or another regulated industry.
- Managed agencies and internal stakeholders.
- Experience managing or mentoring team members.
- Strong understanding of regulatory marketing requirements.
- Experience delivering both planned campaigns and reactive real-time content.
- Excellent commercial judgement and stakeholder management skills.
- Deep knowledge of multiple social platforms and how they each perform.
- Experience using AI tools to improve productivity and content creation.
