Part-Time Social Media Manager — SwissMade

Location: Hatton Garden, London
Type: Part-time
Start date: ASAP

About Us

SwissMade have been a leading specialist watchmaking and repair workshop for over 40 years dedicated to the care, restoration, and servicing of fine timepieces. Our watchmakers bring together traditional Swiss craftsmanship and precision engineering to service everything from everyday watches to rare and vintage pieces.

We're a fast-growing business, and demand for our services is expanding quickly as more watch owners discover the value of expert, trustworthy servicing. As we grow, we want to bring our workshop to life online — showing the world what goes into caring for a fine watch, and building a community of watch lovers who trust us with their collections.

The Role

We're looking for a creative, curious, and self-motivated Social Media Manager to join us part time. You'll be responsible for building our social media presence from the ground up — establishing our accounts on the right platforms, creating engaging content, and growing an audience that's passionate about watches and watchmaking.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their career who wants real ownership over a brand's voice and growth, with the freedom to experiment and bring fresh ideas to a traditional craft.

What You'll Do

  • Set up and optimise our social media accounts across key platforms (e.g. Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts)
  • Plan and create original content around watches, watchmaking techniques, and behind-the-scenes workshop insights
  • Film and edit short-form video content in our workshop, working closely with our watchmakers
  • Develop a consistent brand voice and visual style that reflects our craftsmanship and quality
  • Build and manage a content calendar
  • Engage with our growing community — responding to comments, messages, and building relationships with followers
  • Track performance and engagement, adjusting strategy based on what resonates
  • Stay on top of trends in the watch community and social platforms to keep our content fresh and relevant

What We're Looking For

  • A genuine interest in watches, craftsmanship, or luxury goods (prior watch knowledge is a bonus, not a requirement — enthusiasm to learn matters more)
  • Strong content creation skills — comfortable filming, editing, and writing engaging captions
  • Experience managing or growing social media accounts (personal projects and internships count)
  • A good eye for photography and video, especially in a workshop/craft setting
  • Self-starter mentality — comfortable setting up new accounts and strategies from scratch
  • Strong communication skills and reliability
  • Based near [location] and able to visit the workshop regularly to film content
