Thanks to some sensational new client wins and an ambitious growth period ahead, we have a rare opportunity for a Social Media Manager to join our ambitious and fast-paced Manchester team.
If you are an experienced Social Media Manager with a flair for creativity and a passion for building strong client relationships and delivering world-class social media campaigns, then this could be the role for you!
As a Social Media Manager you will be the driving force behind developing and implementing social media strategies for some of the UK’s most well known brands. You will serve as the primary point of contact, building and nurturing strong relationships with clients, understanding their goals, and delivering exceptional results.

More About The Role
The role is full-time and on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for:
- Developing and executing social media strategies and campaigns aligned with clients’ brand objectives and target audiences
- Manage and oversee social media accounts, including scheduling, publishing, and optimising content across various platforms, with responsibility for creating supporting social content where appropriate in collaboration with the content team.
- Working in the social media team at SG to deliver world-class, highly innovative and inherently social campaigns
- Establishing strong relationships with clients at a senior level, acting as the main day-to-day contact for all social media campaign related activities
- Monitoring social media trends, tools, and applications to ensure our agency stays ahead of the curve in utilising new features and technologies effectively
- Maintaining relationships with the major global social platforms
- Continuously monitoring campaign performance and adjusting strategies as required to ensure campaign success
- Conducting in-depth social media audits and analysis, providing actionable insights and recommendations to optimise campaign performance
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including; strategy, PR and SG’s own marketing, to develop integrated campaigns that deliver against objectives
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, ensuring our agency remains at the forefront of social media marketing strategies
- Leading and mentoring junior team members, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their professional growth
- Leading client meetings. Ensuring that preparation for the meeting is well organised and that account directors or seniors are fully briefed on meeting contents
- Promoting our range of services and the expansion of business with existing clients
- Working with the senior team on new business briefs and pitches
- Ensuring projects are completed to a specific schedule and within an agreed budget

Essential Experience/ Requirements
- Approx. 2- 5 years experience working on big brand social media accounts, preferably within an agency
- Strong knowledge of various social media platforms, their functionalities, and best practices for organic and paid campaigns
- Proficiency in using social media management tools and analytics platforms to track and measure performance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling and engaging content
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and draw meaningful insights to drive strategy
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality work
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to lead and inspire a team
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and team members
