Peacocks Social Media Manager Opportunity

Here at Peacocks, we have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Social Media Manager to join our Marketing team at our Head Office in Cardiff.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our organic social media strategy, with the aim of growing our social following and increasing brand awareness and engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and Implementing Strategies: Creating and implementing comprehensive social media strategies with the purpose of increasing brand awareness, customer engagement, social followers, and sales.
  • Content Strategy: Developing a Content Strategy and creating a short and long-term content calendar to deliver the right mix of content messaging and formats.
  • Social Media Management: Managing the Peacocks social media channels, including planning, creating, and scheduling organic posts.
  • Content Creation: Generating engaging content aligned to social media platforms, trends, and audiences.
  • Competitor Analysis: Keeping track of competitor social activity to identify opportunities and stay ahead of emerging social media trends.
  • Staying Updated: Staying updated on the latest social media features and best practices across different platforms.
  • Collaboration: Working collaboratively with external agencies on content development. Identifying and working with external partners on competitions and campaigns to drive new followers and engagement with our current database.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Monitoring social media analytics to track performance and generate regular reports to be shared with senior management teams.
  • Performance Measurement: Setting measurable goals for campaigns, measuring, and showing the Return on Investment (ROI).
  • Channel Audit: Regular audit of Social Media channels tracking against set KPIs.
  • Customer Interaction: Monitoring and responding to customer feedback, comments, and social media posts.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including, E-Commerce, Creative, and PR, to establish cohesive and successful campaigns.
  • Influencer Strategy: Developing a strong Influencer Strategy aligned to business goals, product priorities, and agreed KPIs.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential

  • Education: Marketing or Social Media Qualification: A degree (or equivalent) in Marketing, Social Media, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ Years’ relevant experience: Strong background and experience in a previous Social Media role.
  • Leadership: Leadership and team management skills: Previous management experience with the ability to coach and mentor.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills: Proficiency in planning, managing, and successfully launching campaigns on time and within budget.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills: Ability to write engaging copy, respond to inquiries, and effectively communicate with stakeholders across the business.
  • Creativity: Creativity: Generating fresh and innovative content to capture audience attention.
  • Analytical Skills: Analytical skills: Interpreting data to identify insights and make informed decisions about social media strategy.
  • Multitasking: Multitasking: Managing multiple social media accounts and tasks simultaneously and under pressure.
  • Graphic Design: Graphic design skills: Basic understanding of design principles to create visually appealing content.
  • Technical Proficiency: Technical proficiency: Familiarity with social media management tools and analytics platforms.
  • Collaboration: Collaboration and teamwork: Successfully work as part of a cross-functional team to achieve aligned goals and objectives.
