Job Title
This role focuses on managing and moderating a dynamic Reddit community within the tech sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering positive engagement, ensuring community guidelines are upheld, and facilitating meaningful discussions. You will play a key part in shaping the community’s tone and growth, acting as the primary point of contact for members and ensuring a welcoming, informative environment. This is a fully remote freelance opportunity, ideal for someone with a passion for online communities and a deep understanding of Reddit culture.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily moderation of the Reddit community, including reviewing posts and comments for adherence to guidelines
- Initiate and participate in discussions to encourage member engagement
- Respond to member inquiries and resolve conflicts in a timely, professional manner
- Develop and implement strategies to grow and sustain community activity
- Monitor trends and feedback to inform content and engagement strategies
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align community initiatives with broader objectives
- Prepare regular reports on community health and engagement metrics

Skills And Requirements
- Proven experience managing or moderating online communities, preferably on Reddit
- Strong understanding of Reddit platform features, culture, and best practices
- Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with diplomacy and discretion
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working independently in a remote setting
- Availability to monitor and respond to community activity as needed
