Join a pioneering initiative dedicated to transforming access to clean drinking water and reducing single-use plastic waste in Sri Lanka. As Social Media Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the public identity of a fast-growing startup focused on sustainability and travel. You will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive social media strategy, creating compelling content, and documenting the company’s journey as it launches smart water refill stations across the country. This position is ideal for a creative storyteller who is passionate about environmental impact and enjoys working in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.
Deliverables
- Develop and implement a social media strategy tailored to platforms such as Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Facebook
- Create, schedule, and publish engaging content that highlights the company’s mission, milestones, and impact
- Document the startup’s growth journey through visual and written storytelling
- Collaborate closely with the founder to ensure brand consistency and authenticity
- Monitor social media trends and audience engagement to optimize content and strategy
- Report on key performance metrics and adjust tactics as needed

Requirements
- Demonstrated experience managing social media accounts for brands, startups, or organizations
- Strong content creation skills, including copywriting, photography, and/or video editing
- Proficiency with social media management tools and analytics platforms
- Creative mindset with a passion for sustainability, travel, and storytelling
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and adapt to evolving priorities
- Familiarity with the Sri Lankan hospitality or travel sector is a plus
- Availability for a part-time, contract-based role
