Social Media Manager
Social Media Manager – Global Commercial #Lotusrad_BrandTeam
Lotus Cars builds world-class, high-performance and lightweight sports cars that are sold all around the world.
To bring the company to the level we want it to be, we are looking for a Social Media Manager to join us in our Global Commercial site based in Coventry.
About the Role
Reporting to the Commercial Europe Region Marketing Director, this role will develop and execute an award-winning social media strategy for Lotus, a brand synonymous with luxury, performance, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Content Strategy & Calendar Management
- Develop and manage monthly and quarterly social media content calendars aligned with:
- New vehicle launches
- OTA and technology updates
- Brand campaigns
- Cultural/social trends
- Strategically balance content across pillars:
- Brand values
- Advanced technology
- Product highlights
- User stories
- Lifestyle aesthetics
Influencer Ecosystem Development & Co-Creation
- Build, maintain, and expand an influencer (KOLs/KOCs) pipeline, segmenting partners by campaign themes.
- Lead end-to-end co-creation projects—from ideation, production, to distribution and performance evaluation.
- Develop a framework to assess influencer partnerships based on:
- Brand alignment
- Audience quality
- Engagement depth
Platform Optimization & Growth Hacking
- Analyze European social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, etc.) for:
- Trend insights
- User behavior
- Algorithm shifts
- Capture organic search intent via granular optimization techniques (SEO, commentary, hashtag strategies).
Data Tracking & Analytics
- Maintain and optimize performance dashboards, tracking:
- CPM
- Engagement rates
- Cost Per Lead (CPL)
- Search Index growth
- Provide data-driven ROI insights to lower acquisition costs while maximizing brand presence.

Luxury Audience Targeting & Creator Quality Control
- Define a high-value targeting strategy focused on:
- Luxury/sports car enthusiasts
- HNW/UHNW buyers
- Automotive collectors
- Culturally influential communities
- Prioritize credible, niche-knowledgeable creators (experts, journalists, engineers, collectors).
- Validate influencers against brand persona and market goals before campaign launch.
Competitive Benchmarking & Market Intelligence
- Benchmark competitors’ social strategies in:
- Content format
- Influencer partnerships
- Brand engagement
- Identify content gaps, best practices, and platform innovations.
- Provide monthly competitor insights reports.
ROI, Metrics & Performance Accountability
- Define KPIs for digital, social, and creator-led activities, including:
- Reach quality
- Engagement rate
- Test-drive interest
- Sentiment & conversion contribution
- Ensure all campaigns measure brand relevance, audience quality, and conversion impact.
CRM, Retargeting & Lead Generation Support
- Improve lead capture workflows, retargeting, and test-drive bookings.
- Develop a nurture campaign flow (awareness to conversion).
- Integrate CTAs and lead-gen mechanisms into all influencer-driven content.
Premium Content Governance
- Uphold luxury brand standards & premium credentials in all content.
- Maintain editorial consistency across markets with culturally localized execution.
- Collaborate with product, PR, marketing, and engineering teams to ensure:
- Authentic storytelling
- Operational accuracy

Job Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (Marketing, Advertising, or related fields)
- Extensive automotive influencer/social media experience (experience in high-end brands preferred)
- Portfolio showcasing high-impact campaigns (million-plus impressions prioritized)
- Strong trend sensitivity and mastery of European internet/visual culture

- Cross-functional collaboration (product, PR, design)
