Social Media Marketing Apprenticeship
We have an exciting opportunity for a Social Media Apprentice to join the Marketing Department at Vertu Motors plc, based at our Head Office in Gateshead.
This apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in content creation, social media strategy, analytics, and digital brand management whilst gaining practical experience within a busy in-house marketing team.
Salary & Hours
- £8.00 per hour
- 37.5 hours per week
- Monday to Friday
Reporting into our Social Media Manager, you will be supported by a full in-house Social, Content and PR team within a wider Marketing Department and get the opportunity to work across different functions to gain a broad experience and understanding of marketing.
By combining academic study with practical work experience, this is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in social media whilst building your career.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the creation of written and audio-visual content for use across multiple platforms
- Assist in delivering content aligned with campaign objectives, brand guidelines and audience needs
- Work from creative briefs to research, develop and produce engaging content
- Contribute to social media, website and digital marketing activity
- Analyse performance and support campaign tracking and reporting
- Collaborate with internal teams including Retail, Events and Partnerships to deliver exciting content for the Vertu channels
- Ensure content is delivered on time, within budget and in line with business expectations
- Maintain awareness of legal, regulatory and brand compliance requirements
- Stay up to date with social media developments, technology and consumer trends

Essential Skills
We are looking for a bright, self-motivated candidate with a positive attitude. The following skills would be desirable:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Confident computer skills with a good understanding of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Good organisation and planning skills
- Knowledge of common social media platforms including Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube
Desirable Skills
- Experience creating content is preferred but not essential
- A good eye for engaging content and the willingness to learn and develop

Qualifications Required
Applicants must have achieved, or be predicted to achieve, GCSE Grade A*-C / 9-4 or Functional Skills Level 2 (or equivalent) in:
- English
- Maths
- One other subject
