Social Media Specialist (UK-based)
About the Role
We are seeking a Social Media Specialist to manage day-to-day social media activities for the UK market across key platforms such as:
- X / Twitter
- And other relevant channels.
The role involves planning and publishing content, developing short-form video ideas, editing videos, writing engaging social media copy, and creating visual assets to increase:
- Local brand awareness
- Audience engagement
- Social media reach
Key Responsibilities

Manage the day-to-day operation of UK-facing social media accounts, including:
- Content planning
- Scheduling
- Regular publishing across key platforms

Develop creative ideas for short-form video content and independently complete:
- Video editing
- Basic post-production for platform-appropriate content

Write and craft natural, engaging, and platform-specific social media copy for UK audiences, including:
- Supporting visual assets (e.g., social graphics, image posts, branded content)

Ensure social media content aligns with brand tone, visual style, and campaign objectives

Monitor account performance, comments, messages, and audience interactions by:
- Responding to community enquiries in a timely and appropriate manner

Track and stay updated on:
- UK social media trends
- Platform updates
- Audience behaviors
- Industry topics to continuously improve content direction

Collaborate closely with brand and marketing teams to support:
- Online campaigns
- Product promotions
- Local brand communication activities
Requirements
Essential
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience managing social media for a brand, agency, or consumer-facing business
- Strong understanding of UK social media culture, including:
- Content trends
- Audience behavior (gained through relevant UK market experience)
- Excellent written English with the ability to produce natural, engaging, and platform-optimized copy for UK audiences
- Experience creating short-form video content for:
- Instagram Reels
- TikTok
- YouTube Shorts
- X / Twitter
- Proficiency in video editing and graphic design tools, including the ability to produce:
- Videos
- Image posts
- Social assets independently
- Strong knowledge of social media content planning, covering:
- Community management
- Engagement monitoring
- Performance analytics
- Creative, detail-oriented with experience managing:
- Multiple content tasks
- Tight deadlines in fast-paced environments
- Skills to:
- Review social media performance data
- Use insights to refine content plans and drive results improvement
- Full right to work in the UK

- Degree or equivalent experience in:
- Marketing
- Communications
- Digital Media
- Film/Video Production
- Graphic Design
- Experience working with:
- Consumer electronics
- Lifestyle, retail, or FMCG sectors
- Vaping/e-cigarette or other consumer brands
- Familiarity with:
- Editing tools: CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro
- Design tools: Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator
- Tools for social media scheduling
- Understanding of:
- UK influencers, creators, and online community trends
- Experience supporting:
- Brand campaigns
- Product launches
- Paid social media activities
