Marketing & Communications Volunteer – Chiltern ADHD Clinic CIC
About the Role
Help us use social media and marketing skills to connect with neurodivergent people, promote free/low-cost support, and grow our community impact.
Chiltern ADHD Clinic CIC is a new Community Interest Company providing free and low-cost support for neurodivergent individuals, families, students, and the wider local community. Your role will help reach people who may not know help exists, including those seeking:
- Body doubling
- Workshops & ADHD-friendly spaces
- Practical strategies
- Community connection
This position will focus on clear messaging, accessible promotion, and trust-building with both the local community and partner organisations. While our services are expanding, volunteer support will help us maintain consistent, engaging content—allowing more people to find practical, affordable support sooner.
Key Responsibilities
As a social media and marketing volunteer, you’ll support our communications to:
- Create engaging content via Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, or TikTok
- Promote events, workshops, body doubling sessions, and community spaces
- Turn event details into clear, inviting promotional materials
- Help refine messaging for better accessibility and neurodivergent-friendliness
- Suggest content ideas and campaigns to improve reach and engagement
- Collaborate on templates/graphics for reuse across platforms

Ideal Candidate
We’re looking for a self-motivated volunteer with 3+ years of experience in social media, marketing, copywriting, or digital content creation. Essential traits:

Necessary skills & experience:
- Creating social media posts, captions, reels, and short videos
- Using Canva (or similar design tools)
- Writing clear, accessible copy for diverse audiences
- Understanding audience engagement and online growth

Helpful extras:
- Experience with TikTok, Instagram Stories, or Facebook Live
- Knowledge of health/mental health/disability communications
- Lived experience of ADHD, autism, or neurodivergence (encouraged but not required)

- Creative & solution-focused (able to suggest fresh ideas)
- Reliable & professional (delivering on commitments)
- Strong written communication (with an emphasis on clarity)
- Neurodivergent-aware (ability to structure support-friendly content)
- Flexible & independent, while open to feedback
- Comfortable adhering to confidentiality & safeguarding rules

What the Role Involves
This is a remote/hybrid volunteer role—flexibility is key. Key tasks:
- Develop social media posts, graphics, and captions
- Contribute to a simple content plan or workshop promotion
- Share event details in engaging formats (e.g., Reels, carousels)
- Advise on reach strategies and neurodivergent-friendly messaging
- Proofread/modify existing content for better clarity/attention
- Build reusable templates for future events
