Job Purpose

Tottenham Hotspur is looking for a talented and driven Social Media Producer to join our content team. This is an exciting opportunity to work at one of the world's most recognised football clubs, creating content that reaches millions of fans globally across every major platform.

The successful applicant will work with the existing team in the Social Media team, providing a consistent level of high-quality content output, including training, player facing shoots, club campaigns and matchday content creation and communications. The Social Media Producer will join a team made up of Social Media Managers and Social Media Content Creator.

You'll be embedded in a fast-moving, high-profile environment where news moves quickly and every moment counts. From pre-season to transfer windows to match days - you'll be at the heart of it all, producing content that cuts through the noise and connects with our fanbase. The role will be primarily based at our Training Centre in Enfield, and there will be requirements to attend a large proportion of Tottenham Hotspur Men’s Home & Away games.

This role reports to the Head of Social Media, under the guidance of the Social Media Managers.

As with all jobs in sport, the position will involve working irregular hours, including weekends, so flexibility will be essential. The successful applicant will also need to complete an enhanced DBS check as Safeguarding is fundamental to the success in all that we do.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, create and publish content across our portfolio of social media channels
  • Produce and edit short-form video content optimised for TikTok, Instagram / Facebook Reels, YouTube Shorts & Snapchat
  • Ad-hoc community management and publishing for all platforms may be required to support team output
  • Capture and create content using mobile phone, edit on the move to publish quickly
  • Filming and editing engaging mobile-shot video content with/of the playing squad
  • Engage and inform the Spurs fanbase across each matchday (including weekends) and throughout the week
  • Conceptualise, develop and produce new short form social-first formats which put stories about the club, community and fans at the centre
  • Partner with the Digital Video teams to bring creator ideas to life and track performance impact
  • Plan and run content shoots with first-team players and external talent including content creators and influencers, building strong working relationships with talent to get the best out of them on camera through creative direction, shot planning and social-first storytelling execution
  • Stay ahead of platform trends, algorithm changes, and emerging formats to keep the club's content culturally relevant and resonant with younger audiences
  • Community engagement: monitor and respond to audience comment to heighten engagement with our online communities
  • Fast-paced, reactive creative ideation - jump on trends, be innovative with our approach to community management
  • Collaborate with wider team to align on filming, editing and execution of mobile-first content - ensuring creative consistency and maximum output from every shoot
  • Collaborate across departments including the first team, commercial and PR to deliver joined-up content
  • React quickly to breaking news moments - results, signings, and key club announcements - producing timely, platform-native content
  • Supporting internal stakeholder requirements with creative ideas and execution making them fit for social channels - collaborate with wider social & content team to ensure creative ideas are tailored and optimised for each platform
  • Analysing and optimising all social output to achieve peak performance
  • Work flexibly, including evenings and weekends as per the season calendar
  • Monitor performance data to inform future content decisions and feed into the wider social strategy
  • Other duties as assigned by social media managers, Head of Social Media and Media Director

Skills & Experience

  • Experienced in social media production, ideally within sport or live entertainment industry
  • Experience capturing content in a live event environment
  • Strong short-form video editing skills with fluency across tools such as CapCut, Premiere Pro and/or Final Cut Pro
  • Experience running content shoots - comfortable directing players, managing a set, and working with external creators
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced news environment
  • Demonstrated success in growing social accounts, particularly engagements
  • A passion for football and an understanding of what Spurs means to its fanbase

Desirable

  • Experience working in-house at a professional sports club or national federation
  • An existing network within the content creator and sports media space
  • Experience working with athlete talent management or PR teams
