Position Overview
We are seeking a creative and strategic Social Media Specialist to lead and evolve PerkinElmer’s social media presence across key platforms. This role will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive social media strategy to increase brand awareness, grow engagement, and support lead generation and customer loyalty.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of social platforms, content trends, and analytics, and will bring an authentic passion for storytelling that resonates with both scientific and corporate audiences.
Key Responsibilities
Social Strategy & Planning
- Develop and own PerkinElmer’s social media strategy across platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter/X, Facebook, TikTok, and others).
- Work with the regional marketing team to determine posting strategies tailored to specific platforms.
- Align social content and messaging with brand voice, campaign themes, and broader marketing objectives.
- Maintain a cohesive editorial calendar for organic and paid social campaigns.
- Collaborate with marketing and content leads to ensure consistent global brand storytelling.
Content Creation & Publishing
- Partner with content, design, and product teams to create compelling social assets (copy, imagery, short-form video, and stories).
- Write platform-native content optimized for engagement, reach, and interaction.
- Schedule, post, and manage daily social media content across all channels.
- Ensure all posts reflect the brand’s tone, visual standards, and compliance requirements.

Community Management
- Monitor comments, direct messages, and brand mentions in real time.
- Engage with followers, respond to inquiries, and foster meaningful community interactions.
- Manage approval and escalation processes with internal stakeholders, including legal and corporate communications.
- Proactively identify opportunities for thought leadership and real-time engagement.
Social Analytics & Reporting
- Track key performance metrics (impressions, engagement, click-through rates, follower growth, and conversions).
- Analyze campaign performance and audience behavior to identify trends, insights, and optimization opportunities.
- Present regular reports and recommendations to stakeholders to guide social strategy and content direction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience managing corporate social media channels across multiple platforms.
- Proven success in developing and executing social media strategies that drive measurable results.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with a keen understanding of tone and voice across channels.
- Experience with social media management and analytics tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Sprinklr, or similar).
- Familiarity with paid social media campaigns and audience targeting.
- Ability to balance creativity with data-driven insights and performance metrics.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail in managing multiple campaigns.
