We Are Looking for a Social Therapist
We are looking for a Social Therapist to join our team at Cygnet Hospital Ealing.
About the Role
As a Social Therapist, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team on an in-patient ward, with supervision, support, and training you will deliver interventions defined within the personalised care plan. You will spend time engaging, connecting, and supporting service users, families, carers, and friends through their recovery pathway. You will help facilitate activities/groups and ward-based projects and be actively involved in every aspect of their physical, psychological, and social care of people who use our service.
Shift Pattern
You will be expected to work 38.5 hours a week (Days and night shifts) across a 7-day rota. Between (7:30am to 8:00pm) and (7:30pm to 8:00am).

New Dawn Ward is our 9-bedded female specialist Tier 4 service, providing treatment, care, and support for women with a personality disorder who are ready to engage in therapy.
About Cygnet Hospital Ealing
Cygnet Hospital Ealing provides a welcoming, non-institutional environment, offering personalized treatment for service users with an eating disorder or personality disorder over two separate wards.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Assess service users for social therapy as part of a multidisciplinary needs assessment
- Plan & deliver social therapy observations & activities & determine their effectiveness
- Provide a variety of individual & group therapy work relating to social situations
- Monitor, evaluate & adapt ongoing clinical work according to each individual’s needs
- Attend clinical meetings & communicate with colleagues, agencies & families/carers
- Comply with the codes of practice

We Are Looking For Someone Who Is…
- Qualified in Social Therapy / Psychology – Degree/Postgraduate Diploma/Masters or equivalent
- Experienced within a care environment, or with a passion for working in this setting
- Preferably experienced in a multidisciplinary team & in an evidence-based framework
