Social Value Officer

Equans is looking for a Social Value Officer to join our team in Birmingham on a permanent basis.

This is a full-time role. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle, and benefits package.

Please note this role requires flexibility as you will be required to regularly travel to site and client meetings.

Locations are Tamworth, Dudley, Gloucester, Coventry, and Birmingham.

What will you deliver?

  • To co-ordinate and deliver Social Value outputs on multiple contracts in line with bid commitments and agreed timescales.
  • To ensure Social Value commitments on all regional projects are effectively and accurately recorded and reported consistent with internal processes.
  • To support with content for Bids and Tenders aligned to regional and client objectives and priorities.
  • To promote SV activity internally and externally to support understanding and buy-in.
  • Coordinate and facilitate SV delivery, aligned to Covenants (e.g., EDAC, Care Leavers, Armed Forces), commitments on multiple projects such as site visits, work experience, and Equans Engage Workshops.
  • Maximise internal and external awareness of SV successes (e.g., Social Media).
  • Accurately record all activity on internal trackers and AIMS.
  • Where required, represent the company on local focus groups in association with education, employment, and skills developments and opportunities.

Who are we looking for?

  • Good at developing and maintaining relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Confident in producing, analysing, and interpreting numerical data.
  • Able to work independently on multiple projects prioritizing workload to meet deadlines.
  • Flexible - will be required to travel on a regular basis to site and client locations.
  • Knowledge of Social Value legislation in the UK & Ireland.
  • Knowledge of Apprenticeship Schemes in the UK & Ireland.
