The Social Value Work Winning Lead within our UK Growth Operations function supports tender activities, collaborates with the Business Development Team, and drives our Social Value agenda.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the UK Social Value Lead, you’ll play a key role in securing new business by developing compelling, innovative, and deliverable Social Value solutions that differentiate QinetiQ in competitive procurements.
  • Working closely with Business Development, Capture, and Bid teams, you’ll shape winning strategies, develop high-scoring responses, and ensure Social Value commitments align with customer priorities and QinetiQ’s broader Social Value ambitions.
  • You’ll also collaborate across the business to embed Social Value impact within project delivery.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the Social Value Subject Matter Expert throughout capture and bid lifecycles, influencing opportunity strategy, solution development, and win themes.
  • Leading the development of Social Value solutions for strategic bids, frameworks, and tenders—aligned with client priorities and local community needs.
  • Developing innovative, measurable, and costed Social Value commitments to maximise bid competitiveness while ensuring deliverability.
  • Leading workshops and innovation sessions with project and technical teams to embed Social Value solutions into opportunities.

Requirements

Essential Experience

  • Strong understanding of Social Value within UK public sector and regulated private sector procurement.
  • Knowledge of UK procurement legislation (e.g., PPN 002 / PPN 06/20) and associated Social Value policy requirements.
  • Understanding of ESG, sustainability, and responsible business agendas.
  • Proven experience developing Social Value solutions for competitive bids and tenders.

Essential Qualifications

  • APMP practitioner qualification or equivalent bid management experience.
  • Relevant qualification in sustainability, social impact, community investment, or CSR.

Working Arrangements

This role operates on a 37-hour week and is based at any one of our QinetiQ sites, with a minimum average attendance of three days per week.
