Social Work Assistant Vacancy – Care Experienced Team (0-15 years)
Hours & Locations
37 hours per week
About the Role
There is a vacancy for a Social Work Assistant in the Care Experienced Team, specialising in supporting children aged 0-15 years on the conclusion of care proceedings who are subject to full care orders.
This is a highly supportive and driven team, prioritising a child-centred approach and working collaboratively as a multi-agency unit.
Team Vision & Impact
The goal is to create permanency for children by:
- Building a multi-agency safety net around families
- Supporting relationships and healing from past trauma
- Ensuring children experience safety, happiness, and emotional well-being
- Crafting a positive future grounded in Stability and Safety
You’ll work closely with:
- Two Deputy Team Managers
- Two Senior Practitioners
- The Team Manager
- A team of Social Workers
- Three other Social Work Assistants
Your core responsibilities will include:
- Secondary allocations to children and families
- Supporting social workers with casework
- Direct work with children, families, and carers

Key Responsibilities Summary

Requirements
| Language | Working knowledge of Welsh (communication essential) |
| DBS | Enhanced with Children’s Barred List clearance required |
| Driving | Valid UK driving licence mandatory |
