Social Worker
Stratford Family Help Team – Duty & Assessment or Support & Intervention Warwickshire County Council
Location: Stratford-upon-Avon
Salary: £44,075 per annum
Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for a qualified and experienced Social Worker to join Warwickshire County Council's Children and Families Service within the Stratford Family Help Team. Opportunities are available within both the Duty & Assessment Pod and the Support & Intervention Pod.

About the Role
The Stratford Family Help Team works with children and families from the point of referral through assessment, intervention, and longer-term planning where required. As a Social Worker, you will carry a varied caseload and work closely with multi-agency partners to ensure children receive the right support at the right time.

Depending on the team you join, responsibilities may include:
Duty & Assessment Pod
- Undertaking Child and Family Assessments
- Managing referrals and completing timely decisions regarding risk and need
- Working with children and young people aged 0–18
- Assessing and responding to safeguarding concerns
- Completing Child in Need Plans
- Working in partnership with families to identify strengths and areas requiring support
- Liaising with schools, health professionals, police, and partner agencies
Support & Intervention Pod
- Holding longer-term child protection and Child in Need cases
- Managing Children in Care cases
- Undertaking permanence planning and adoption work
- Completing Public Law Outline (PLO) work
- Preparing court reports and attending court proceedings
- Developing and reviewing care plans
- Supporting families to achieve sustainable positive change and improved outcomes
Candidate Requirements
Applicants must possess:
- A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree, DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent)
- Current Social Work England registration
- Experience of working within Children's Social Care
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, statutory guidance, and safeguarding procedures
- The ability to manage a complex caseload effectively
- Strong assessment, report-writing, and communication skills
- The ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and professional partners
