Social Worker – Cygnet Ealing

We are looking for a confident, compassionate & committed Social Worker to join our team at Cygnet Ealing.

Joining us on a full-time, 37.5-hour per week basis working across 5 days, you will become a valued member of a supportive team.

Our practice area: Cygnet Hospital Ealing

Cygnet provides a national network of high-quality, specialist mental health services, with over 30 years of experience. We offer a conducive, non-institutional environment equipping personalised treatment for service users with an eating disorder or personality disorder, spanning two separate wards.

About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Work in partnership with service users, their families, and other stakeholders to assist recovery
  • Forge links and maintain contact with statutory agencies
  • Lead on the social care needs of service users
  • Ensure service users and their families/carers are aware of their legal rights
  • Take an active role in safeguarding within the multidisciplinary team
  • Provide written reports to the multidisciplinary team and other professionals

Requirements

You must meet the following criteria:

  • A Registered Social Worker with Social Work England
  • Hold a relevant Social Work qualification
  • Have experience in working within a mental health setting, or are passionate about this field
  • Knowledgeable in:
    • Safeguarding
    • Health & safety
    • Data protection & confidentiality
    • Equality & diversity laws
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Skilled in report writing, with exceptional literacy skills and attention to detail
