Connect2socialwork are urgently looking for a Social Worker to join their great Family Safeguarding Team with a Pay rate up to £42 per hour on a locum basis.

Job description;
- Undertake triage of referrals to determine whether they meet thresholds for statutory social work intervention, ensuring appropriate information gathering and consent.
- Complete strengths-based assessments, identifying risks and needs, and develop SMART plans to safeguard and promote children’s welfare.
- Work collaboratively with families, children, and partner agencies, leading Child in Need and Core Group meetings to monitor progress and outcomes.
- Conduct Section 47 child protection investigations and contribute to multi-agency strategy discussions where there is risk of significant harm.
- Initiate and progress legal planning, including Section 20 arrangements and care proceedings, where thresholds for significant harm are met.
- Source and secure suitable placements in partnership with fostering, adoption, and commissioning teams, ensuring stability and long-term planning.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date case records, assessments, and reports in line with statutory and organisational requirements.
- Liaise effectively with legal services and courts, contributing to PLO and care proceedings.
- Engage in reflective supervision, promote evidence-based practice, and contribute to team communication and multi-agency working.
- Ensure the voice, wishes, and feelings of children and young people are central to all decision-making.
