Social Worker

Team: South Locality Older Person’s Team

Job Family: Supporting - CBG10

Salary: £38,476 - £40,069 per annum pro rata + MRS £7,000 per annum pro rata

Hours: 37 Hours per week

Location: You will be expected to attend a CBC office location as often as needed to carry out your role, which will be no less than once per month.

Contract Type: Hybrid - Permanent

Closing Date: 15th July 2026

Interview Date: 23rd July 2026

Join The South Locality Older Person’s Team – a highly professional and multi-skilled Adult Social Care team supporting individuals aged 65+ across Dunstable, Leighton Buzzard, Houghton Regis and surrounding villages.

As part of the wider Community Assessment Service, we are committed to person-centred, strengths-based practice, always aiming to improve the outcomes and quality of life for older adults in our communities.

About the Role

As an experienced Social Worker, you'll play a vital role in:

  • Assessing, reviewing and support planning in line with the Care Act 2014
  • Promoting independence and wellbeing through early intervention and proactive care management
  • Building strong relationships with service users, carers, health professionals, housing, and other partners
  • Ensuring people have access to the right support at the right time, and are empowered to live fulfilling, independent lives

About You

You are:

  • A qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
  • Experienced in care management and strengths-based approaches
  • Confident in applying the Care Act 2014 and safeguarding principles
  • A natural collaborator who can build effective partnerships across services
  • Passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred social work practice
