Salary: $111,639 - $120,057 (Plus 12.5% Super)

About the Role:

We are inviting applications from suitably qualified Social Workers with more than three years of experience to join our Social Work Department.
Our Social Work Department provides Social Work services across the Canberra Hospital, including critical care units, medical and surgical wards, and maternity and paediatrics. See position description for further job information. While positions are full-time, reduced hours may be considered.

As a Social Worker, you will provide a range of high-quality clinical social work services to patients, families, and carers, including comprehensive psychosocial assessments and evidence-based interventions to address complex needs associated with traumatic injury, psychological trauma, family violence, new diagnoses, adjustment to illness, chronic health conditions, loss and grief, safety concerns, mental health, and alcohol and other drug issues. You will provide counselling, emotional support, advocacy, and care coordination, ensuring patients can access the services and resources they require. Working collaboratively with health professionals and external service providers, you will facilitate referrals and maintain strong partnerships to support continuity of care. As a valued member of the multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to a positive patient journey and the delivery of safe, compassionate, and high-quality patient-centred care.
