The London Borough of Sutton is situated less than 30 minutes by train from Central London, with direct connections to London Victoria and London Bridge. Found in zone 5 with strong transport links in and out of London, Sutton is renowned for its award-winning parks, low crime rates, affordable housing, and excellent schools. The borough also boasts high levels of resident engagement and satisfaction, delivering quality services and addressing financial challenges while involving residents in key issues like high street changes.
Sutton is heavily invested in the health, wellbeing, and education of its residents and future generations, as outlined in the “Ambitious for Sutton” corporate plan. Home to the Royal Marsden Hospital and the Institute of Cancer Research, the borough is aiming to become the world’s leading life-science district, specialising in cancer research and treatment. Known as the "London Cancer Hub", this development will create 13,000 jobs, contribute over £1.2bn annually to the UK economy, and foster a thriving community of scientists, doctors, and innovative companies—directing real benefits for cancer patients and driving economic growth.
Regeneration efforts are focused on creating new homes and schools, ensuring vulnerable groups can maintain independence, and achieving a balance between support and independent living. Sutton collaborates closely with residents and community partners to shape a vibrant, sustainable future—ensuring the borough remains a great place to live, work, and raise a family.
Strategic Partnerships
The Council acts as a driving force within the South London Partnership, consisting of five outer South West London boroughs, focused on strategic growth, regeneration, and investment. By adapting to residents’ evolving needs and fulfilling their ‘Ambitious for Sutton’ goals, Sutton aims to continuously shape a borough where quality services and community engagement help residents thrive.

Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
