About the Role and Ideal Candidate

Job Title: Social Worker (Learning Disabilities)

Reports to: One of the Assistant Team Managers

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support Sutton residents with learning disabilities through care and statutory assessments under the Care Act framework.
  • Maintain exceptional casework standards, using supervision and case trackers for timely workflow management.
  • Develop team performance by participating in team development sessions and peer-group supervision.
  • Contribute to cost-effective service provision and co-produced service improvements with service users and carers where applicable.
  • Participate in ad-hoc duty rotas, taking over duties in the absence of the specified Social Worker.
  • On a roster basis, perform as an enquiry officer for statutory safeguarding investigations.
