Social Workers – Assessment & Child Protection

📍 Swindon
💰 £45,091 – £51,356 per annum (DOE)
⏰ 37 Hours per Week | Flexible & Hybrid Working Available

Liquid Personnel is proud to be partnering with a forward-thinking local authority that is committed to delivering exceptional outcomes for children and families. This is an exciting opportunity for Qualified, Experienced, and Advanced Social Workers to join a highly supportive Assessment & Child Protection Team, where you'll be empowered to make a real impact while developing your career in a nurturing environment.

Working within the innovative Family Safeguarding Model, you'll collaborate with specialist professionals including domestic abuse practitioners, recovery workers, and mental health experts to provide holistic, family-focused interventions that create meaningful and lasting change.

The Role

  • Completing high-quality statutory assessments and child protection investigations
  • Building strong relationships with children, families, and partner agencies
  • Developing effective plans that safeguard children and improve outcomes
  • Managing complex cases and making confident, evidence-based decisions
  • Supporting children and families through periods of change and transition
  • Contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and excellent practice

To be successful, you'll need:

  • ✔ A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree, DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent)
  • ✔ Current registration with Social Work England
  • ✔ Experience working within children's social care services
  • ✔ Strong assessment, safeguarding, and risk management skills
  • ✔ The ability to work collaboratively with families and multi-agency partners
  • ✔ A commitment to high-quality practice and continuous professional development
