Social Worker - Child Protection

Social Worker – Child Protection Team (Nottinghamshire)

About the Role

Liquid Personnel is recruiting a Social Worker for its Child Protection Team to support Nottinghamshire clients.

The role typically involves working on behalf of children and families in need, ensuring their safety, well-being, and long-term outcomes through expert intervention.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments of children and families to identify risks and developmental needs.
  • Develop and implement child protection plans in collaboration with multi-agency teams (including health professionals, education, police, etc.).
  • Undertake statutory visits and maintain accurate, up-to-date case records.
  • Respond to and intervene in crisis situations to safeguard children’s immediate safety.
  • Attend and contribute to child protection conferences, core groups, and court proceedings.
  • Collaborate with families to promote positive change and improve child welfare outcomes.
  • Liaise with schools, healthcare providers, police, and other stakeholders to coordinate support.
  • Prepare written reports and evidence for legal proceedings when required.
  • Regularly monitor and review cases to ensure progress and compliance with care plans.
  • Advocate for the rights and welfare of children and young people.

Qualifications & Experience

To apply, you must have:

  • Registration with Social Work England
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the UK
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Post-qualification social work experience
  • A degree-level or equivalent qualification in Social Work
