Social Worker - Child Protection Team
Liquid Personnel is currently recruiting for a Social Worker to join our client’s Child Protection Team on the Isle of Anglesey. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a dedicated safeguarding team, supporting children and families where there are child protection concerns. You will undertake statutory responsibilities, complete assessments, and work collaboratively with partner agencies to safeguard children and achieve positive outcomes.
What will your responsibilities be?
- Manage a varied caseload of children and families within the Child Protection Team.
- Undertake Child and Family Assessments, Child in Need, Child Protection, and Looked After Children (LAC) work in line with statutory requirements.
- Manage cases through the Public Law Outline (PLO) process and care proceedings where required.
- Develop, implement, and review outcome-focused care and support plans to safeguard children and promote their welfare.
- Build effective relationships with children and families, undertaking direct work to reduce risk and improve outcomes.
- Prepare high-quality assessments, reports, court statements, and care plans for legal proceedings where necessary.
- Attend and contribute to strategy meetings, child protection conferences, core groups, looked after children reviews, and legal planning meetings.
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies to deliver coordinated, child-centred interventions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in line with statutory guidance, local policies, and professional standards.
- Assess and manage risk effectively, making informed decisions to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children.
- Promote strengths-based practice while ensuring the child's voice remains central to all assessment, planning, and intervention.

Qualifications & Experience:
To be successful in this role you must have,
- Social Care Wales Registration. You can practice in Wales with Social Work England Registration whilst this is in progress.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
- Hold a full UK license.
- Post-qualified experience
- Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
