Senior Social Worker – Children with Disabilities Team

About the Role
Joining the Children with Disabilities Team, you’ll engage in specialised social work, making holistic threshold decisions aligned with the Right Help Right Time framework. This demanding yet rewarding role requires urgent duty work to address safeguarding concerns, provide appropriate support, and guide children and families effectively.
Working within a managed caseload, the role offers meaningful career progression, flexible opportunities, and a commitment to continuous professional development—all while ensuring child welfare remains central.
Responsibilities
- Conduct timely threshold assessments and safeguarding interventions in line with Right Help Right Time principles.
- Support children with disabilities and complex needs**, ensuring their voices are heard.
- Collaborate with multi-agency partners to deliver cohesive, child-focused solutions.
- Adhere to legal, ethical, and safeguarding guidelines within a fast-paced environment.
- Develop and maintain extensive professional networks to enhance intervention strategies.

Requirements
You should have:
- A qualification in Social Work, with completed ASYE (Assessment and Development Year).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Proven experience working with children and families in a social work or related setting.
- Strong analytical skills for high-stakes decision-making.
- Excellent communication, including sensitivity with families and young people.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively under pressure and tight deadlines.
