Social Work Lead - Children Looked After Team
Salary: £39,152 - £41,771 a year + £5,500 market supplement allowance + £963 essential car user allowance (subject to criteria)
Hours: 37 per week
Contract: Permanent

Responsibilities
In this pivotal role within the Children Looked After teams, you will:
- Conduct assessments, statutory visits, and parenting evaluations.
- Plan and implement tailored, multi-agency interventions.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners on joint casework.
- Drive the development of best practices and procedures, aligned with Social Work Professional Standards.
- Support management in achieving key performance targets.

About You
You are an experienced social work professional with:
- Substantial post-qualifying knowledge in fostering and child/family social work.
- Deep understanding of trauma, attachment disorders, and related challenges.
- Demonstrable skills in:
- Effective supervision (1:1 and group settings).
- Proven leadership in supervisory roles.
- Complex report-writing and impactful presentations to diverse audiences.
- Solution-focused collaboration and collaborative problem-solving.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of building meaningful relationships with children, carers, and colleagues across cultural/social backgrounds.

Qualifications
- Diploma in Social Work (DipSW), Qualifying Social Work Degree (CQSW) or equivalent.
- Registration with Social Work England.
